I come from Manitoba, born in Emerson and lived in the South east (Ste. Anne, Steinbach, Greenland Road) While I lived in Winnipeg I had many varied and memorable musical experiences, including playing in Southern Stage, The Funky Badmen,  Deluxe Chance Band, The Big Eyed Beans from Venus, Straight and Narrow, Sudden Death and Slam Weasel.

Shortly after moving to Vancouver in the mid 80s I enrolled in the Jazz Studies Degree program at Capilano College.
I also embarked on a career path which led me to library school and a wonderful job with the Vancouver Public Library.

In recent years I've reconnected with one of my original reasons for taking up the guitar: the music and genius of Django Reinhardt.  I had the tremendous fortune to meet and play with luthier Shelley Park. Through her connections we got to play at Djangofest Northwest in 2003, where I met and made many friends who live in the Northwest and beyond.  The photo above is from Djangofest 2007, courtesy of  Scott Bookman.

I'm also a member of a wonderful church in the West End:
  St. Paul's Anglican
If you do live in Vancouver and are looking for a very warm and welcoming place to worship and grow,  I invite you to drop by St. Paul's.
